Born in Bradford in 1989, Jonny is a first class England & Yorkshire batsman/wicketkeeper who has become only the sixth England player in history to pass 1,000 ODI runs in a calendar year and is the first batsman in the world to do so in 2018.
Jonny holds the world record for the most dismissals, as well as the most runs scored by Test wicketkeeper in a calendar year (2016). Jonny’s recent form has been no less remarkable – after his maiden ODI century in 2017, Jonny has compiled four 100s in total, including a career high 141* and the third fastest ODI hundred for England (the fastest ever by an opener). This performance, along with two Test centuries in Australia and New Zealand ensured Jonny collected the PCA’s Overall England MVP award.
On 31 March 2019, in his third match for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jonny scored his maiden IPL century becoming only the third England player to do so.
With both the ICC Cricket World Cup and the Ashes taking place in the UK this year, Jonny is set to become one of England’s greatest ever cricketers.
Jonny became an ambassador for Bioflow in April 2019.
